Using it in After Effects & Premiere Pro: the Shape input needs a pre-rendered layer to read from. In After Effects, precompose a shape layer before connecting it as the Shape input. In Premiere Pro, nest text or graphics clips into a sequence first. Regular video layers work directly in both hosts.
