Frequently Asked Questions
Licensing
What happens when my license expires?
When your license expires, the plugin will revert to trial mode with watermarks. Your settings and projects are not affected. You can purchase a renewal at any time to restore full functionality.
Can I use one license on multiple computers?
No. Each license is valid for a single machine only. If you need to use the plugin on multiple workstations, you'll need a separate license for each one.
How do I activate my license after purchase?
- Open DaVinci Resolve and add the plugin to your project
- In the plugin's license panel, enter the email address you used for purchase
- Click "Download License" - your license will be automatically downloaded and activated
Can I transfer my license to a new computer?
No. Each license is permanently locked to the machine on which it was first activated. Licenses cannot be transferred to another computer, regardless of hardware changes, operating system reinstallation, or platform migration.
Before purchasing, we strongly encourage you to install and try the free trial to ensure the plugin works correctly on your intended machine.
Installation
Which versions of DaVinci Resolve are supported?
Our plugins are developed and tested with DaVinci Resolve 20. They may work with other versions, but we cannot guarantee compatibility. We recommend trying the free trial to verify compatibility with your specific setup.
Where do I install the plugin files?
macOS: /Library/OFX/Plugins/
Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX\Plugins\
Linux: /usr/OFX/Plugins/
The plugin isn't appearing in Resolve. What should I do?
- Verify the plugin bundle is in the correct OFX folder for your platform
- Restart DaVinci Resolve completely (not just the project. In other words, quit and restart Resolve.)
- Check that your GPU and drivers meet the minimum requirements
- On macOS, ensure the plugin isn't being blocked by Gatekeeper
- On windows, it's important that when you initially download the zip file, you manually check "Unblock" in the properties panel of the zip file, before you unzip it. See the Windows installation tutorial here:
Compatibility
Does the plugin work with the free version of DaVinci Resolve?
Yes. Our OFX plugins work with both DaVinci Resolve (free) and DaVinci Resolve Studio. Please take advantage of the free trial, to be sure that the software meets your needs and expectations.
What GPU do I need?
Our plugins require a CUDA-compatible NVIDIA GPU on Windows/Linux, or a Metal-compatible GPU on macOS. Most modern dedicated GPUs from the last 5-6 years should work. Stronger, newer GPUs work better/faster, but you should be able to work pretty well with any reasonable GPU. Try the free trial to verify performance on your system.
Will the plugin work with future versions of DaVinci Resolve?
We cannot guarantee compatibility with future versions of DaVinci Resolve or other host applications. We strive to maintain compatibility where possible, but updates are provided at our discretion.
Trials and Refunds
How long is the free trial?
Trial duration varies by product and is shown on each product's page. During the trial, you have access to all features without a watermark on the output. After the trial is over, if you don't purchase a license, a watermark will be present on the output.
Can I extend my trial?
No. Trial periods cannot be extended, reset, or reissued.
What is your refund policy?
Because our plugins can be fully evaluated with a free trial before purchase, all sales are final. Please try before you buy. See our Refund Policy for full details.
